I have tasted 2 that where really good. One at the farmers market which was rather expensive and one at Xmas but don't know where it was bought. I have tried a couple but not thrilled. I know the stores have it, but does anyone have a good brand name. Like Mexican Chorizo, it varies in flavor and taste and except for the 2 i had have been disappointed.

I just bought some at the butcher on Revolucion and Juarez.
Name is carniceria tecuan.
Price is 100 pesos per kilo.
They also make machaca and it is awesome.
I have also bought beef jerky there. He has been there for years and speaks some English.
If you enjoy it, maybe we should share this info with the group.
Hope you like it.
SALUDOS,

Just to let everyone know, the organic market on Madero Street is still going all summer long. We are still on both sides of Madero, in front of Pan de Les. It is from 9 am to noon, but you may want to come early to beat the heat, and get the best selection of organic produce from three different vendors. We have Kayle, Martin, and Elliot, all with beautiful veggies--get something from each of them!!

We still have many other vendors with great products waiting for you. Here are some of the ones you will find sticking it out through the summer:

Les ---- Wonderful artisan bread, brownies, eclairs, etc
Manuela ---- German sausage and cuts of meat, also pretzels
Christina ---- Fresh mozzarella and pesto
Norma ---- Beautiful Mexican clothing
Sharon ---- Wonderful baked goods, cakes, scones, etc
Adrian/Melanie - Smoked fish, lamb, rabbit, quail, eggs
Linda ---- Warm cinnamon rolls, Greek yogurt, Italian sausage
Miguel ---- Baskets of beautiful white figs

We look forward to seeing you

ORGANIC MARKET HAS A NEW LOCATION!
The city has granted us a new location at the end of 5 de Febrero St where it meets the sea. The schedule will be Saturdays and Tuesdays, 9-12 AM. There will be organic products such as lettuce, vegetables, gluten-free cakes, moles, tahini, salsas, jams, crafts, clothing and much more. Come join us in our new location!

By the way some other venders may stay in Madero St.

Heirloom Tomatoes - Yumm!! I just bought organic yellow and red heirloom tomatoes and organic hawaiian papayas at the roadside stand at Rancho Buena Suerte on the highway to La Paz. You have probbly seen it on the west side of the road, maybe 15 miles north of Todos Santos. They have big yellow flags out this year but if you're not looking for it, you can go zooming past it. nancy

from ventana view, note these are summer hours

NEWS FROM LA PAZ
a. Yes it is hot in La Paz but the breadguy is still getting up at 2 am to make crusty bread for you. I am open Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday all summer from 8 to 1.
The bakery is in downtown La Paz on Madero street between Degollado and Ocampo. Parking is easiest in the early morning and it doesn't get ridiculously hot until after 11 so please come by for some European style breads and pastries.
Look for the yellow and white striped awning. Pan D' Les 12 119 6392
