using LEDs is about 90% more efficient and they last up to 100,000 hours. VS incandescent with as low as 3,000 to 5,000 hours.
Fluorescent are about 80% more efficient.
best price for general bulbs is watch sales at hardware stores. some of these are much better that you can not get in stores.
