We know that some vehicles could not be imported or were not imported because of different reasons: a new federal law now permits some of these vehicles to be imported. The procedure is very simple, you present to the SAT offices, located on the Malecon in La Paz, the title and ID and pay 2500 pesos. This been said, there are some vehicles which will not be accepted: A) Vehicles that were not manufactured in Canada or USA. B) Contraband vehicles which are vehicles that were temporally imported but not returned to the USA when it was time to do so (10 Years from the time the temp. importation was done). C) Vehicles which were once in a fire or flood. Advantages: Once imported: 1.- One will be able to get local plates. 2.- Legally sell or buy the vehicle. 3.- No risk of having the vehicle confiscated. Lic.
