La Ventana Classic and expo Jan 25-28

The third annual La Ventana Classic is scheduled this year from Jan 25 - 28 2008
last year we raised over 2500 usd that bought roofing materials for the El Sargento primary school and supplies for the doctors quarters at the health center. This years goal is to raise $6,000 USD that will go toward building a bano for the primary school and repairing the fence at the La Ventana Kindergarden. In addition on the morning of Jan 25 we will be painting the el sargento primary school with anyone who wants to help

the 4 day event includes a race for kiters and windsurfers from the island to Palapas Ventana and then through a series of broadreach buoys to the finish line at Baja Joes

the top 16 men and 8 women will then compete in buoy course racing for the finals in front of Baja Joes. There will also be a kiteloop contest and an old school trick contest and more.
The Expo will happen everyday from 12-4 and will be 15 top kite companies allowing kiters of intermediate and above skill level to demo gear for free. try gear from North, Flysurfer,Best,FOne,Slingshot,Caution,Eclipse,Airush,Freakdog,Mystic,Blade,Naish,Liquid Force,Ocean Rodeo,Cabrinha,Carafino and more
also there will be live music and dancers daily and food sales to benefit the schools.
