January 1, 2015 Aeromexico has resumed non-stop service from LAX to La Paz on Saturday mornings. The 90 minute flight has been sorely missed by those on the west coast looking to commute to La Paz.
The flights will return with the same Aeromexico Connect 88 seat aircraft.
Other flights are available to La Paz, but connect through Hermosillo or Mexico City adding as much as 8 hours to what should be a short hop. .

Air travel to La Paz has been an ongoing challenge for tourist related businesses in the capital city since the demise of Aero California several years ago. Aero California offered service to three of the major Southern California Airports at one time or another. There are direct flights that have long been available from Tijuana International Airport to La Paz, via InterJet and Volaris.

The addition of Interjet and Volaris increased the number of seats destine for La Paz in 2013, but the return of the direct flights to Los Angeles will help fill some of the 500 new hotel rooms in the city. In 2014 a number of new hotel projects came online raising the bar in competition for travel dollars with La Paz looking to benefit from its gateway to the Sea of Cortez status.
