In April 2016, Mexican federal authorities ordered Saint Luke's and other area hospitals to end operations and stop admitting new patients, according to the U.S. Embassy's Office.
The U.S. Consulate's Office recommends certain hospitals for people in the area, including Bluenet Hospital, where Gallagher was transferred too.

Just in case this could be valuable information to anyone: I wanted to share that Dr. De La Rosa is trained in the most advanced method for prostate surgery in the world (Holium Laser). We thought we’d have to go to the Mayo Clinic in the States to get this (that’s what extensive research said), and then we found this doctor in Guadalajara.


Dr. De La Rosa also speaks English well. My husband had an excellent experience with him.

Hello, I am currently treated exceptionally well by Dr. Edgar Cuevas García. Office phone is a cell: 612 1508782, and emergencies: 612 104-6609. His office is located a few blocks away from Chedrahui of  Isabel La Católica and Bravo. On the corner of Isabel La Católica (which is a continuation of Forjadores coming towards the center), there is a HSBC There you turn right, go straight two blocks and turn again right into a street called Melitón Albañez #655. He is also my cardiologist .... I highly recommend him.  I am a  cardiology
medical professional and this guy knows his stuff.  His office  is fully
 
equipped and does echo cardiograms and stress tests on the spot plus  you get

Option #1: We have had a lot of success with Dr.Agustin Anguiano Acuna... he is located in LaPaz at Serdan y Pineda. LA PAZ Telephone: 125-4300. You can also reach him via e-mail: anguianoacuna@hotmail.com. Hours 9am-2pm and 5pm-8pm. He is okay with English (one on one) just need to speak clearly and slowly. This doctor has helped us in many ways from serious Skin Cancer operation; to curing rashes; and removal of warts, lumps, etc.

Option #2: Dr Judith Yarhi, Cellphone (612) 127-0686 Home Phone (612) 125-9459 drayarhi@hotmail.com . Office visit was 500 pesos, which included my exam and also a diagnosis for a minor problem my wife wanted to see about. Her office is at the old Nun's Hospital on Manuel Torres Iglesias, between Ignacio Ramirez and Ignacio Manuel Altamirano. The hospital is at coordinates: N 24.165, W 110.3054 Don't be put off by the old hospital. Dr Yarhi is very competent. PLEASE NOTE: She doesn't check her email very often, so It is a good idea to phone her and tell her you are sending an email about your concerns or needs. Then she will check the email and get back to you.

b. Hand Surgeon: My husband snapped a tendon trying to start a quad... and had to have surgery to reconnect it. We absolutely loved Dr. Javier Escamilla - and the surgery was completely successful. He is fluent in English (and has studied at University of Texas Health Center). I believe he has offices in both San Lucas and La Paz. My highest recommendation.

Just passing onto Pony Land some information on the medical/surgical staff at the BLUE MEDICAL NET Hospital located in the Cabo Bello Plaza del Ray on the 4-lane across from Home Depot.
